I gave them a 5.
I ablolutely love my Fussybutt pads.
I have two of them with a custom embroiderie on the back, and they are just gorgeous. Thin, comfortable, very absorbant and gorgeous. My bamboo velour one feels especially fabulous !
And I also have a non embroidered long night pad in hemp velour, which is fantastic. So soft, so supple, confirms so well to the shape of my body, and despite being a quite long night pad, still discreet ! AND absolutely leak proof as far as I am concerned, and I used it on my heavyest nights.
Customer service was wonderful, Christy is so friendly, helpful and patient, it was really a pleasure dealing with her.
I highly recommand you give these pads a try. If you dont already own a bamboo velour pad, do not hesitate : they are a real treat to your lady parts ! |

I love these pads. They have never failed me even the day i was working on home renos and forgot to change my pad for nearly 8 hours. They're wonderfully thin and soft. Are great under tight jeans. They're very well made they've stood up to machine washing and lots of scrubbing on my part. As others's have said Christy gives great customer service. The only posible slightly less then positive I can come up with is that when you buy the random assortment of fabrics there's no real identification of which is which. There was one in the bunch I didn't like as much as the others... and i wish i knew what it was so i could avoid that fabric in the future. But that certainly isn't a major thing and didn't stop me from placing a second order.
Edit: Christy saw this and helped me figure out which fabric i don't like. She really is awsome.

I've actually never tried cloth pads before, but based on the feedback here, these were my first batch to try out. I figured I'd try whatever was rated highly and often, see if I liked the product, and then decide if I wanted to keep going with cloth pads. Because they are such a great product, I'm excited to switch and am looking around the cloth sellers on etsy (I hope that doesn't sound like a backwards compliment because it's meant to be completely positive - I just mean that IME there are some things you haven't tried and you buy a sample batch of and go, "well, maybe this isn't for me..." But based on her product, the gateway is open). I bought 2 XL (13 inch) moonbows, one topped in bamboo velour, and one in Hemp French Terry. The seller even included an extra violet BV pad in my order, which was a fantastic and much appreciated surprise!
Customer Service - Received an email when shipped. Shipping was fantastic - ordered on Saturday, shipped on Monday and arrived on Wednesday. Pads came well packaged and wrapped in tissue paper with the cute little "Fussy" emblem sticker.
Workmanship/Look - Item very well made - surged completely around with no loose threads. As others have commented, the snaps/stitching are well coordinated with the color - my blue pad has red snaps/stitching, the violet has blue snaps/stitching, and the grape has pink. But it's not just the color coordination of the front snaps that I like - I folded them up into little squares with the wool backing showing for storage, and noticed that the snap backings facing up this way are actually the same color as the pad so that I know which color the pad is without having to unfold it. That's some pretty amazing attention to detail! I'm fairly picky about prints, so I like that these are simple and available in a host of pretty colors. I am not sure if the violet pad is a second, but if it is, it looks exactly like the other two, and there is definitely something to be said about that.
Comfort & Fit - Very comfortable and soft. Did not feel like I was wearing some thick piece of cloth, and no noticeable extra bulges, which I had worried about with cloth in general. No problems with shifting or anything like that. There are two snaps in a row for customization of width. I really like the bamboo velour, as it feels very soft to the touch. I washed these a couple of times already on warm to increase the wool absorbency, and no shrinking or loss of color. I did bled through the wool in a large area in about two hours one day, but did not have any other problems the rest of the days. I think I just needed to wash them a few more times to felt (I think that's the term) the wool because it has not been an issue since.
Value for money - When I was just looking around, these seemed a little expensive to me vs. other sellers - until I started looking at what kind of effort and attention go into her product. It's worth it for the workmanship, attention to detail, organic instead of heavily processed materials, beautiful hand dyed colors, and wool as a PUL alternative (whether or not it works better for me, I don't know because I can't really tell a difference in terms of breatheability with pads with PUL, but it's really nice to have an alternative, kwim?).
These are my favorite pads I've tried so far, and I will be ordering more! |

Very nice. Comfortable! I like the larger 'night-time' sizes that don't bunch up!
Wonderfully soft and absorbent.
Great vibrant colors!!

I am an extremely heavy bleeder and most pads never cut it---I always had to wear a tampon WITH a pad on my heaviest days when I was using commercial pads. I am fairly new to the cloth experience and have tested out four sellers' pad systems now, and Christy's Moonbow pads are far and beyond superior to any of the others I've tried. She suggested the Large Moonbows with an extra layer of absorption and an accompanying booster pad for overnight.
Although I bleed so heavy that I need to be careful I don't leak over the sides, this setup works extremely well for me, the best out of all I've tried. I use the booster at night but I am surprised that I don't really need it during the day, as the absorption is so good that I'm much more likely to leak over the sides than to leak through the pad. I am really very impressed with the absorption and never expected the pad to soak up so much.
Christy is an excellent sewer, so I was first amazed by the professional quality of her work. She is also extremely helpful and personable and was patient with all my questions getting started.
I love that all of the materials are natural and organic, and the use of wool rather than PUL is not only smart, it actually works, which surprised me. I go for the undyed pads with the bamboo fleece topping, which wash out extremely well after an overnight soak. I opt for air drying and don't mind waiting a while for that (having multiple sets on hand), but was surprised that they dried fairly quickly, too.
I am also so incredibly pleased with the COMFORT of these extremely soft pads, and the lessoning of irritation of the skin as I tend to get "diaper rash" from the irritation of the rubbing and trapped moisture.
I am currently testing out different toppings to see if that might halt some my side leakage danger, but I really only had this issue come up mildly once in my testing, whereas I had many problems with other sellers' pads I tried both with leaking through and/or over the sides.
I am also testing out the liners on my lightest days and so far I like these a lot. |

Bought a few of these pads after high recommendation from this site. I was very pleased to find it all true. Totally would give this a 5. I am slowly transitioning from disposables to cloth pads, and I'm happy to report no regrets thanks to these pads.
Customer service was excellent, all my questions were answered promptly and pleasantly. I had a problem with my order and she shipped an extra pad, which I thought was really sweet.
I bought a regular bamboo velour pad and a booster. My favorite part is actually the wool backing, so soft. I'm a moderate/heavy bleeder and my period lasts about 7 days. I tested it out on my third (and last of my heaviest days).
I found the pad + booster to be a bit bulky for my taste, so I went without it and it was perfect; felt like I wasn't wearing anything. I changed it after about four hours. At first I was worried because it wasn't flared (which really worked for me with other ones that I had bought from other sellers), but it worked out fine, and absorbed extremely well, no leakage on the other side.
I tested out just the booster because Christy had mentioned others just used that for their pad, and I wanted to see if that would really work. After all, they are no snaps, it would surely slip out...or so I thought. I used it on my fourth day, and with snug fitting underwear and I really had no problem, all the flow landed squarely where it had to.
I have gone ahead and ordered a whole bunch more. Definitely recommended. |

I ordered a custom set of petite Moonlite liners, each with one side dyed and one side natural. First of all, customer service is really off the charts! I contacted the seller demanding bold colors (no pastels) and the fluffy side out on all materials (not just velours) and no pads that were cotton on both sides (I wanted at least one anti-bacterial material in each pad) and she was great about accommodating my very picky requests! On top of that, she threw in a few custom wing extenders at no extra cost so I could wear the liners with wider-crotched underwear, and I'm extremely pleased with them. The parcel arrived a week after she told me it was sent, which was less than a week after I paid for the custom order, which is really fast turn around. And, she threw in a couple freebie face scrubbies (I'm guessing that's what they are, anyway that's what I use them for). Anyway, this seller gets major points for being so good about my picky custom requests and being totally on the ball about standard stuff like shipping and communication. Oh, and the pads are packaged like a present with tissue paper, the whole nine yards.
The liners are very simple, serged around the edges with a top and bottom layer of the same size and shape. The snaps are applied evenly and the serging is nearly flawless. After the first wash, there were a few loose threads, but there was no further fraying or anything after I cut them off. The hand-dyed colors are really fantastic and didn't fade or bleed in the wash, and of course the quality of the fabrics is through the roof. I love the little details, like the coordinating thread and snap colors. I find these liners are great for everyday use; though they're a bit long (8in) for daily use, they are quite comfortable and very easy to forget about. All in all, the thickness is just perfect, and they are plenty absorbent for their size, moreso than many standard 4-layer flannel liners that are almost twice as thick, because such high quality materials are used. Plus the included wing extenders make it so they fit in every pair of underwear I own without slipping or bunching. Overall, I feel like I got a great deal because these top-quality liners cost an average of $1 more than the most common price for 4-layer flannel liners that usually aren't nearly as well-made or comfortable. I would recommend these liners to anyone looking for a nice, thin everyday liner, and I would like to try other pads from this seller later on. |

After reading so many positive experiences with Fussybutt pads, I decided I had to try them for myself.
The wool backing has both pros and cons for me...pros: it's a very breathable backing and still manages to prevent leakages quite well (although I have bled through very slightly on several occasions, mostly because I didn't get a chance to change it so had it on for longer than I'd planned. I've also had a few leaks around the sides, but this is not an issue during the day, just at night sometimes). Cons: my partner is quite allergic to lanolin (to the extent that wool can't touch anything that will come in contact with skin) so I find I end up having to hand wash my Fussybutt pads. Fortunately, for those who do not have wool allergic folk in the house, this wouldn't be an issue at all
The best thing about these pads is they are among the most comfortable and thinnest pads I own. They're very soft, so mold nicely to your body and don't bunch. The breathability of the wool backing adds to the comfort too. These are the only pads that I can wear under tight jeans even on heavy flow days because they don't add any bulges anywhere (even the longer pads).
In terms of pricing, it was a bit steeper than my other pads, but I certainly think they are reasonably priced for what you get, especially the quality of the materials used. They all have a bamboo core, which I really love because they have the excellent property of being both absorbant and thin. I have used my pads for 4 or so cycles and they have washed up really well.
Customer service is excellent - items are always shipped really promptly and I've had free liners and cloth wipes included in my order, which was a really nice surprise.
All in all, I can definitely recommend these pads. They are totally worth a 5! |

I'm from Indonesia, a country that cloth pad is unknown. This is new for me. I only have few of them so I can't make good comparison between brands. Also I haven't mastered the English terms used in pads, so I'm sorry for the English
I purchased this from a retailer in Malaysia, so I can't comment on shipping and customer service. I decided to buy Fussybutt based on reviews on this site.
Mine are fleece petite ; fleece regular; velour large; and fleece X large.
Probably I'm the only one who doesn't like Fussybutt.
I'm not a heavy bleeder, so I was disappointed when the regular-fleece and large-velour almost leak (I saw a spot on the backing). But probably it was my fault, I hadn't washed them enough to get the maximum absorption.
The fleece-X large: my flow went to the wings!!! But luckily it didn't leak.
While people adoring the thin pads, for me it just didn't work on large and X-large pads.
It tend to 'flip' (I don't know the terms for this. What I mean is the pads accidentally 'folded' when I take off my panty, so I have to be more careful. But probably it's because I'm not used to cloth pad).
Then I washed them. I found that the fleece was harder to clean than velour. And they all had stain....
Is it just me or is this a common problem?
(I have a bulky velour pad from another brand and it was easier to clean than the Fussybutt as comparison)
The last 'complain' was the petite-fleece. It had a tiny hole in the surface near the snap. FYI, I asked my aunt who lives in Malaysia to get me the pads, probably she wasn't careful enough when she choose.
I rate this 2 because it's expensive and probably it's just not for me.
Added:
Turn out all my fleece pads had tiny holes! when I asked the retailer, they said the 'hole' (pinpricks) was from their price tag and they apologize for that. |

I cannot sing the praises of Fussybutt pads loudly enough! They are the thinnest, yet most absorbent pads I have ever encountered. If it weren't for the fact that I tend to battle a very heavy flow for a few days each month, I would all but forget I was even menstruating...they're that comfortable! Christy is so amazingly friendly and communicative. She made sure that I was getting exactly the pad I needed, and helped me with all of the options. I especially love the velour topped/wool bottomed pads!
These pads are also really pretty, beautifully constructed, and incredibly soft. I have been using cloth pads for almost 10 years and I can honestly say that these are the BEST!
Most recently, I added a large set of pantyliners to my Fussybutt collection! Again, Christy helped me select the right combination for me, and I was so grateful for her suggestions and comments! I chose the velour/wool combination after trying several other combinations...all of them were great, but as I mentioned, I'm a fan of the incredibly breathable wool. I find it leaves me feeling much drier than those awful disposable pantyliners too!
Christy is extremely generous, helpful, and always goes above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to her customers! If only she were around 10 years ago when I was cloth diapering my son; her diapers look incredible too! |
