I love, love, love these pads! They are well-made and I've never leaked! I used to have two but one disappeared! Sad My only complaint is that she doesn't stock very often with regular pads (as opposed to panty liners--which I don't wear).

I love these pads so much! You don't see people discussing them on message boards the same way you see other popular brands discussed, but my humble opinion is they are one of the best-kept secrets out there!

I have all the different sizes - pantiliners, day pads, night pads, and postpartum pads. The day pads, night pads, and postpartum pads all work exceptionally well for my heavy flow! They have a waterproof barrier (a fabric called Darlexx or Ultrex) that is breathable but reliable. All her pads are made from super-soft, high-quality hemp fleece and are sewn very professionally.

These are the pads I reach for when I'm at my heaviest, and they've never let me down. They design is really ingenious with a holder-insert design. The insert goes into a pocket underneath the pad, but the holder can be worn alone on a lighter day.

The pantiliners are probably my least favorite because they don't have a waterproof barrier, just water-resistant wool inside the pad. They are AIO's (no holder & insert system) With my flow, I tend to leak through these. They are beautifully sewn, though, and super soft. I wish they worked better for me.

The price on these, I dare say, are FANTASTIC if you take advantage of her buy 5, get one free deal.

I give these a 5+, if that's possible!! Smile

Has anyone tried the day, night or even postpartum pads with wool instead of the default darlexx?? Any leaks?

I gave these pads a 5 - I really love them.

I find the design really good - I like the way they function as an AIO and a holder and insert, combining the advantages of both systems. I like the way the waterproof layer is on the inside of the pocket but doesn't cover the wings (i.e. open at both sides) - it gives good protection but is breathable and washes well. I like it that the pads are only 2 layers of hemp when used without the insert - I find this is enough on most days. They are slimmer when used without the insert, though still not too bulky when used with the insert. They are very comfortable and don't shift around. The wings are very wide, which keeps them in place well and gives good coverage.

Workmanship: they are well made, and seem really strong. I've been using them heavily for 10 months now and they're standing up to it well. I can well believe, from the look of them, that they'll still be performing well in 8 years.

Fabrics: I love the Darlexx - it is the perfect fabric if you don't feel confident without a waterproof layer but don't like PUL or fleece. It is absolutely waterproof, but feels less plasticky, more breathable and more flexible than PUL. It also feels to me tougher than PUL, as if it might be less prone to deterioration over time (disclaimer - this is my opinion, I don't actually know how they both perform in tests, and will be interested to see how well the Darlexx lasts). I also love the organic hemp - it is washing well. I find even when I wash it at my parents' house (very hard water) it dries a bit hard but softens as soon as I put it on.

Appearance: they look pretty, and there is a good choice of backing prints on offer. Also some lovely looking hand dyed pads, which I haven't tried as I couldn't afford them.

Cost: they are well priced for the quality of fabric, especially if you buy a set. They are a bit more expensive than some other pads out there, but I find they're worth it, even factoring in the cost of postage from the USA, which is always a disadvantage for UK buyers.

Customer service: Jen was very nice and replied quickly to my questions. The pads didn't take very long to make given that it was a custom order.

I'm casting around here to think of anything about them that some people might regard as a disadvantage. They sometimes bunch very slightly, but I find this doesn't affect their performance and I don't find it a problem - I actually find it comfortable. Maybe a second snap would give a choice of widths, and a narrower/flatter pad for those who like that. They are less slim than some other pads - but I still find I can forget I'm wearing them. They are really so comfy. I definitely recommend them. They meet my needs and I feel very secure when I wear them.

Haven't tried the wool-backed ones, sorry.
